Whenever I mention snowshoeing here in Norway, I get this totally confused look back. They are sure there is a translation problem. They are born with skis on. The concept of walking on snow does not compute! Ed and I managed to convince Marie, who's from Sweden, to try it with us. We left the wind and rain of Bergen, took the train east to the sun and snow of Voss.
Not confined to groomed trails, we could go anywhere!
Distant sun-dappled mountains
The valley where Voss snuggles
We left such beautiful patterns behind.
A glider plane
Skiing with kites
An ice fall
