From ugly wallpaper, to pink, to beautiful green

The original wallpaper in the living room. You can't see the patches...
We had a "stripping party" this weekend. Blandine is a wonder woman. She steamed ALL the wallpaper off. It took 9 hours. We call her the Duchess of Destruction. Yes, the walls were actually pink under the wallpaper!

Lucas has the patience of a saint with the detail work of getting the little pieces of paper out from the molding, and you should have seen the edges of the tape he applied!

Ingrid was the only one of us who actually knew what we were doing - and yet she showed up!

Sunday morning, the spackle was dry enough to sand. Rolling paint on a big open space is great fun!  The color is a green called Natur65. Choong Wah, Vandita, Ingrid and I had the reward of seeing the finished product. The walls look so soft and beautiful!

You can see their pay behind us on the breakfast table - rolls of toilet paper with 1000 kroner bills printed on them.

  1. Great looking place, Pilla. So glad that this all worked out for you. I like the fact that you're peeling old wallpaper...we just got done doing the same.
