It was a boring 10 days, but they fed them three times a day, and we were allowed to visit outside. Getting there and back was a two-hour round trip for me, but it was worth it. There was an unused balcony that Deanna and I used, to catch up on each other's lives. We also explored the area. First trip - an industrial area. Boring. Second trip - a neighborhood. Pretty sights. Third trip - a storm hit and we came back quickly. There were two days of intense rain and wind, but otherwise it wasn't bad.
Friday was "get out of jail free" day! We took a taxi to the apartment-hotel, 2 Døtre, which we thought would be her quarantine place, until they tightened the infection rules. The apartment she had was pretty big, and the owners were very nice. Nice is good, because after a day or two, the problems with the apartment were too much. The bathroom floor heater wouldn't heat, the shower didn't shower but just leaked, and finally, the straw that broke the camel's back: the slats on the bed fell out!
