Yachts and Manors - how the rich people live

Here's Ed in Damsgård Manor with Hansa beer boxes. We toured the 1700's mansion today. It was restored in the 1980's into its original state, with different eras showing in different rooms. You should have seen the kitchen as it was in the 1980's - there was an old stove and a sink with running water, and that's about it. But the main rooms are wonderful, even to the original floors. We had to wear booties to protect them.

This is the big kitchen, and our guide.
There have been some yachts here in the harbor, too.
When this one came into the harbor, we thought it was a cruise ship. It was on its maiden voyage. It is called Vibrant Curiosity. It is owned by a German, and cost about $150 million.

This is the "A" from Hamilton. It is reputed to have cost $300 million and to be owned by a Russian. Doesn't it look more like a submarine than a yacht?

The other yachts make this beauty look like a motorboat.
I was talking to a Norwegian woman on the bus when the first yacht came in, and she asked,
"But is he any happier than we are?" Nope.
