Ed's pictures from a hike in the snow

Ed took a hike up the local mountains today. It snowed again this last weekend and yesterday, then today it was crystal clear. I was really sorry I had to go to work :(. He went with one of the people we met at the New Years potluck.
Back up just a couple more steps, Ed!

The whole town is white, and all the distant islands.

Pure beauty!

Ed and Jan stopped in a public hut and found about 15 60+ year old ladies having a good time. Here are some of them and a little dog leaving the hut. Ed says that he and Jan busted ass and took a shortcut to pass the ladies.

No one can believe this winter - there has been snow on the ground since mid-December. It's nice for skiers, that's for sure, and we are enjoying not being wet and rained-on. Rumor has it that February will stay cold.

  1. I know when we went walking with Ed during our visit, we had to bust ass to keep up with an 80 year old. I'll bet he had to DOUBLE TIME to pass those 60-somethings. Wow beautiful pictures!

  2. He said passing them was the hardest part of the whole hike. I'm looking forward to getting up there with Ed on Saturday. He's going to try to find the hut to show me!

Bergen Turlag have regular trips if Ed's interested. They have a office/shop in town where you can get maps and all sorts as well.

  4. Thanks. We have had good times in the Bergen Turlag shop, and bought maps there.

  5. Did you see that on Friday the 12th 49 of the 50 states had at least a dusting of snow?
(my secret word is "vorprod." Is that what the ladies used on Ed?)
