Hanging out in Bergen in winter, during COVID-19 times

Deanna's been loving the sky here in Bergen! The days are short - 6 or 7 hours of the sun being up - and the weather changes by the minute. We residents complain of how dark and rainy it is, but Deanna looks up and says, "Look at those cloud patterns! It's not solid gray at all." Having new eyes showing me the sky has been eye-opening.

Thanksgiving this year was a mother-daughter event. We baked apple pie at my place on Wednesday. I must say, it was the best crust I've baked yet! Deanna made the filling from all the green apples they kept giving her at the quarantine hotel. And she cut a lovely design in the top crust.

Thursday, we cooked a turkey breast, green beans, corn bread stuffing, mashed potatoes and red wine gravy at her place. We added tyttebær (lingonberry) jam since cranberries are a New World thing. The landlord dropped by. She said it smelled delicious. An American holiday tradition.

We built this calendar, filled with high-class chocolates.

We filmed Dean Disaster doing a Fraggle Rock scene, complete with a guest star - Timmi! We did it at my neighborhood coffee bar, Løvetann. It was my first videography stint. It looked great, after Deanna did her video editing magic.
