On to Madrid, Spain and Verona, Italy

In order to get to our next big stop, in northern Italy, we took the train to Madrid. It definitely deserves more than the few hours we gave it! 

When in Madrid, you must have churros dipped in chocolate!

We took the plane to Milan, Italy, where we picked up a rental car. I had set us up for 3 days at Lake Garda (but you have to wait for the next post to see that!) Our day in Milan was an R&R day. Basically, we didn't go touristing. In the afternoon, we drove to Verona for dinner. And, to visit Romeo and Juliet, because how can you not?

Dinner was great, as you would expect of Italian food. Next stop, Lake Garda!
