A Walk Outside to Help with the 2024 Disaster Election

This morning, the bad news was overwhelming. I spent some time texting friends and relatives. We are so screwed! Environmental responsibility? Hah! Give Ukraine to Putin? Of course! Back in 2016, I was in the US for the election. I went out on that Wednesday and bought lunch for strangers. This year, I went for a long walk on Fløyen. Here are some of the things I saw.

They are gentrifying up there. How about this lighted little waterfall at the start of a stream?

I especially liked this green secret kids' place.


It was a good break. Having a walk in nature right outside my door is one of the best things about Bergen!

    The saddest part of all is that the majority of Americans bought his misogynistic and vulgar rhetoric and disregard for anyone but themselves. I feel defeated and resigned to the end of democracy and our planet. I am old, but I am sorry for my grandchildren. jml
