The rhododendrons have exploded open their flowers! Maybe I'm biased, since we raised the kids in Washington state. The state flower is the Coast Rhododendron, and they are along all the trails and roads there. Here in Bergen, Norway, this time of year requires a trip to the arboretum south of town.
